The Advocate explores Corrales

Corrales’ population began to grow after World War II, when the village attracted
some of Albuquerque’s booming population. Albuquerquians crossed the river to Corrales
because of the landscape, farmland, old adobe buildings and slower pace. The
Village of Corrales was incorporated in 1971 and continues to grow while retaining
its rich history.

Financial crisis forces further cuts

The Academy is enacting new revenue-increasing measures to cope with financial setbacks, including tuition increases and partial tuition payments for children of faculty and staff. However, although the Academy’s various budgetary cuts have improved the school’s financial situation, the endowment is unlikely to recover for the next several years, promsing to affect students and families in need of financial aid.
